The New World Order Starts With Iran

This week Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad addressed the U.N. General Assembly in what was considered to be his most mellow speech he’s delivered in front of the group.  Though he was toned down from his previous rants, the point he was trying to make was just as ridiculous as any other speech he’s given to the Assembly.  Ahmadinejad called for a new World Order.  A world where capitalism and materialism are wiped out in order to bring everyone up to equal footing.  A world where all countries are equal and all countries cooperate with each other to bring harmony to the planet.

Well, what’s wrong with that?

Ahmadinejad isn’t calling for a Socialist or Communistic world.  He’s just tired of being bullied.  He does want all countries to be equal, but only if Israel and the United States cease to exist first.  He doesn’t want the world to be bogged down under a nuclear threat, unless he and his allies possess the nuclear weapons.  He doesn’t want the people of the world to be oppressed anymore unless he is the oppressor.  He wants a world free of what he refers to as arrogance, as long as he and Iran can continue to be the most arrogant nation on earth.  Let’s face it, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is just another power-hungry nutcase with a short man’s syndrome.

In case you don’t know, Ahmadinejad will be stepping down from the Iranian presidency next year as his second term comes to an end.  He has actually helped his country from an economic standpoint during his reign as Iran now has the 18th best economy in the world.  However, his country still suffers from high unemployment and very high underemployment.  Let’s remember that first, Ahmadinejad isn’t stupid.  He is a very educated man.  Second, let’s all ask ourselves how a man with so much education can be so stupid.

It’s pretty clear to me that if Ahmadinejad and Iran want to play well with everyone else and want everyone else to like them maybe they should show a little good faith and cooperate with the rest of the world when it comes to their nuclear intentions.  If Iran, as they claim, is pursuing a nuclear program for what they call “peaceful purposes”, why won’t they let the U.N. watchdogs in for a look?  Why won’t they come to the table and talk to the world and show evidence that what they say is true?

If Ahmadinejad and Iran want the entire world to be a cohesive unit then why do they denounce the existence of Israel and help Syria massacre their own people?  I’m not a huge fan of the Israeli/American relationship, but Israel is still a country populated with people.

If Ahmadinejad and Iran want people to have personal rights and freedoms then why do they jail their own students who protest against the government?

Mr. Ahmadinejad, it’s one thing to come up with fiery speeches and defiant hand gestures.  It’s one thing to talk the talk.  But it’s another thing to walk the walk.  If your real wish for the world is to stop America’s “bullying”, then why don’t you help the countries around you solve their problems instead of fueling them?  I am sure the United States would prefer to leave our troops within our own borders if you wise-ass countries in the Middle East could take care of your own issues.  If you want a little, you’ve got to give a little.  Back up your words with actions and stop hiding behind rhetorical nonsense.

We won’t see him in front of the U.N. Assembly anymore, folks.  But look out – there is another new, whack-job president coming in Iran soon.  I hope the next one has a name that’s easier to pronounce.
